The River of Gold is one of the top ten river expeditions in the world.  A destination river for almost anyone coming to experience Nepal’s white water for the first time. Mid-September to early November is optimum Sun Kosi Time.  High river levels brought on by monsoon rains provide warm water and sun filled days, making high water Sun Kosi a favorite.

Trip length varies from 8 to 10 days depending on the volume and rate of flow. Departs from Kathmandu.

The Raging River drains the northern slope of the Annapurna range.  Recently opened for rafting, the Marsyangdi includes some of the most exciting class IV-V white water in Nepal. This trip demands 100% commitment from both crew and guide, and is not for the faint hearted!  Departs from Kathmandu.

Marsyangdi river trip includes a day of orientation on the lower part of the river before trekking to the starting point upriver. This one of the most exciting new rivers easily eccessible from Kathamndu and Pokhara.

The River From Tibet: Bhote Koshi is the main branch of the Sun Koshi, a beautiful mountain river only a few hours from Kathmandu.  We run over night trips of exciting rafting and kayaking when water levels allow. This is a technically challenging river with rapids from class III to V. An exciting trip full of thrilling white water. Departure from Kathmandu.

These trips are operated from our exclusive adventure camp situated on the banks of the Bhote Koshi. Includes overnight stay with all meals and transport. All trips include trained guides and safety kayaks.

 KAYAK TRAINING

BHOTE KOSHI KAYAKING SCHOOL. Managed by Equator Expeditions, the pioneer of Nepal 's first Kayak School, regularly conducts Beginner and Intermediate courses in the exciting sport of Kayaking. Based at Sukute Beach River Camp on the lower Bhote Koshi River which is well set-up with finest kayaking and rafting equipment available. Highly experienced foreign and local instructors conducts this training programme.  We can operate this training trip with a minimum of 3 participants on request.

Weekly departures from Kathmandu (Oct to May)
Above Tour Costs Include:
The river trip cost is inclusive of transport to and from Kathmandu (or Pokhara) depending on the river, all meals, permits, services guides & helpers, safety kayak/s, porters, camping & rafting equipment and staff insurance.

Costs Does Not Included:
Sleeping bags & mat (can be hired in Kathmandu), bottled/alcoholic drinks, any services in Kathmandu, client insurance, client evacuation costs (if any), other expenses of personal nature.

Important Note:
- Tour participants have to arrive Kathmandu (or Pokhara) at least a day in advance of the starting date.
- Trip briefing and orientation meeting will take place at 5 pm on the day prior to the starting date.
