Nepal
Himal Treks is licensed by the Department of Tourism of His Majesty's
Government of Nepal as a trekking and climbing adventure company. Nepal Himal
is a member of the Trekking Agents Association of Nepal (TAAN),
the Nepal Mountaineering Association (NMA), and the Himalayan Rescue
Association (HRA). Our
trekking services provide comfort without detracting from reality. The pace is
relaxed yet exhilarating and, always, there exists the possibility of that unforeseen
moment in time when a chance meeting becomes an unforgettable encounter, the satisfaction
of completing a journey out of the ordinary. Our Sherpa Guides and Sherpa teams
have trained the hard way - working with expeditions and climbing some of the

Chettri - Founding Director and CEO - has trekked extensively
in the Khumbu, Mustang, the Annapurnas, and Langtang, experiencing the depth of
his own culture and traditions learning. His experiences based on organizing Nepal
logistics for major mountaineering expeditions, serve him well in itinerary and
logistics planning. Nepal Himal treks and climbs receive the same meticulous attention
to details as when Bobby was personally involved in the logistics planning of
major mountaineering expeditions. | | | |
| Pertemba
Sherpa (PT)- Founding Director - Pertemba is an equal among world class
climbers known not only for his mountaineering feats but, as an understanding
and gentle person. One of the first persons to climb Mt. Everest by two different
routes - via the South Face, with the British Everest Expedition led by Chris
Bonington in 1975, and via the South Col with the Swabian (West German) Everest
Expedition in 1979. Co leader, Nepal American Joint Gaurishanker Expedition when
team members, John Roskelley and Dorje Sherpa became the first to climb the peak.
Since his first climb in 1968, PT has been on more than 30 climbs of Himalayan
peaks. He ensures Nepal Himal Sherpas receive proper mountain safety trainings. |  |

| Balaram
Manandhar - General Manager. He has been with Nepal Himal since the
beginning. Prior to that Balaram was personal assistant to Colonel Jimmy Roberts,
pioneer of the trekking industry in Nepal. Through the years Balaram has ensured
that Nepal Himal trekkers receive every assistance and hospitality before and
after their trek - be it hotel reservations, local sightseeing, jungle safaris
or reconfirming international flight reservations. | | | |
| Late
Pasang Kami Sherpa (PK) - Founding Director - In 1965 PK became one
of the few select Sherpas to begin working with Jimmy Roberts in his new venture
that was to become a leading tourist industry - trekking. His vast and personal
experiences as Sardar with the American Kanjiroba Expedition, 1969 led by John
Tyson; British Annapurna I South Face expedition, 1970 led by Chris Bonington;
American Bicentennial Everest Expedition, 1976 led by Phil Trimble; and many other
expeditions has helped Nepal Himal to become an experienced and professional trek
and expedition company.
PK's son, Pemba,
continues his father's legacy of hospitality and efficient field operations. |  |
